Over the past five years I have started to incorporate sound into my yoga classes. I worked with shaman and sound healer Richard Down who inspired me to just start collecting instruments for the love of it and offer that love.
The healing capacity of sound has blown me away, it’s great for those who have trouble meditating or an overactive mind, certain frequencies can bring you into a more harmonious resonance instantly taking you out of the mind and into the heart. WE are becoming more conscious to the power of vibration and healing frequencies and how this can help us heal and transcend our limiting belief systems.
I use a powerful Sun Gong at present and various bowls and tuning forks, this is something I want to keep evolving if Spirit permits. I have recently completed a gong training with Sanjay Hallon at Parmath Niketan and wish to continiue my studies with him where possible.
Yin Yoga is a beautiful moving meditation in which we explore our inner world starting with the physical body and making our way through the many layers of our being toward stillness oneness, peace!
This practice is a subtle and slow practice all done on the ground. We work with the more subtle elements of the body completely relaxing the muscular structure and working into joints, connective tissue, organs, and the subtle energy body. The practice is an explorative, intuitive meditation to nourish the body and calm the mind.
The practice is entwined with philosophy and knowledge from Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Indian wellbeing philosophy of Ayurveda and Yoga.
Yin Yoga is a deeply healing and restorative way of practicing yoga, it is a state of being that exists in each of us, but because of our busy lives and the pace of living we have forgotten.
The combination of Yin and Sound is a powerful one taking you to deeper levels of relaxation and exploring different levels of consciousness in a safe, loving and beautiful environment. My classes are creative, sensual and beautiful and may include aromatherapy and crystals.
I run weekly Yin classes at the beautiful Yogaloft in Queens Park and Healing workshops throughout London
